Just who is the Muslim Brotherhood?

Last week the Obama administration made it official; it is reaching out to Islamist in the Middle East, specifically the Muslim Brotherhood, using “The Arab Spring” as the reason.

The “Arab Spring” we would like to believe, began as a democratic movement to replace harsh dictators. If there ever truly was a democratic movement, it was quickly usurped by groups seeking to further their own agendas. In Egypt, that group is the Muslim Brotherhood.

Therefore it is important to understand the history of the Brotherhood as well as its goals, purpose or mission. It is equally important to understand what politicians and the media are saying when they use the terms: “Islamist,” “Islamic,” as well as a the term, “caliphate.” Understanding of these terms will more clearly define the politics of the Middle East and Islamists in the West.

This five-minute video is the first of a three-part series. As you will learn, the Brotherhood was founded in 1928 in response to the fall of the Ottoman Empire not because of the founding of Israel or the policies of the United States but to advance the goals of the global caliphate and a revival of purist Islam.

Watch and learn the truth about The Muslim Brotherhood and its ideology.
